Cape Town and Winelands – last post!

Early bird gets the worm or, in our case, a sunrise with African penguins at Boulder’s Beach. We were greeted at the parking lot by walking penguins and a beautiful sunrise, and fell in love with the Cape Town area straight away.

Rise and shine. Badass posing next to the sign. Careful where you place your steps!

We reached Cape Point in good time. First car on the lot, hehe. And took the walk down to the Cape of Good Hope. A little tired of course, but worth it to be there alone with only the sounds of waves crushing the rocks and patrolling birds.

Cape Point princess. Two deers greeting us on our morning hike. Minna thinking of taking a swim. Cape point! Next land mass is Antarctica.Hout Bay.

Our Robben Island ferry and tour got cancelled due to the weather, which apparently happens now and then. However, we did have good weather for our Winelands tour in Stellenbosch. Very good wines and stories from our guide. We learned about the Dutch settlement and the development of the Cape Town area. This marked the end of our adventure in South Africa, a country we highly recommend.

With that said, our journey has come to an end and it’s time to go back home to Sweden. Thanks for following our adventure!

Amazing views. Sun gazing. Church and the mountains.
